It all started at a country music gig at The Water Rats in King’s Cross. We hit it off straight away. For William, the moment that really stood out came when he went over to say hi to the performer’s family, and Lauren confidently followed. She chatted away like she’d known them for years. William couldn’t help but notice how easily she had everyone hooked, warm and completely herself, the kind of person people don’t forget. It hardly felt like a first date and there was an immediate ease between us that neither of us could ignore. That was our first clue.

If you know William, you know his “maximum fun” philosophy and his “why wouldn’t we?” attitude. But beneath that excitement is a thoughtful, steady approach to life. He has been unwavering since that first night, and Lauren has never turned down an invite to join him for another gig.

While William has called London home for the past 13 years, and Lauren has been back and forth since she was 13, our relationship gave us both a new way to experience the city. We haven’t always known exactly what the future would look like, but we’ve intentionally built a life together, realising that as long as we have each other, the fun takes care of itself.

That brings us to Port de Pollença, where William’s family home has been the backdrop to many of our favourite memories. He couldn’t wait to share this corner of his world soon after we first met, so there couldn’t be a more fitting place to have “maximum fun” with all of our favourite people as we celebrate our marriage.
