Megan & Kevin

An invisible string was there all along, quietly pulling Megan and Kevin toward each other.

They first met at the Gator Bowl on New Year’s Eve 2021, just a quick hello and introduction. Fast forward to October 2022: Alan invited Kevin on a family boat day. Megan happened to be in town from Atlanta, and since Madison and Braxton made other plans, it ended up being fate’s perfect setup (though Alan still insists otherwise).

That day, Megan and Kevin connected over music, growing up in Jacksonville, and their shared sense of humor; but that was it. No follow-up, no DM, no Instagram follow. As Megan loves to point out, Kevin didn’t make a single move. But as Kevin will tell you, something was planted in his mind that day, something that would take root in another city months later, thanks to their favorite football team.

Enter Trevor Lawrence. After leading the Jaguars to an unforgettable comeback win against the Los Angeles Chargers, the next stop was Kansas City. Megan, Alan, Braxton, Kevin, Kylie, and Barry decided to make the trip to watch the Jags take on the Chiefs, not knowing it would change their lives forever.

The night before the game, Jags fans packed a Kansas City bar. Kevin, arriving hours (and a few drinks) before the Worley’s, found himself feeling… confident. When Megan walked in, he wasted no time sharing the feelings he’d been holding onto since that boat day. Unfortunately, he chose to do so with her dad and brother standing about two feet away. Megan, understandably, was less than charmed and may or may not have gotten what the kids call “the ick.”

The next morning, after rereading a few cringe-worthy texts, Kevin quickly apologized. Megan responded with some teasing and that moment sparked the beginning of something real.

Fast forward through hundreds of texts, a first date back in Jacksonville, countless flights and long drives, and plenty of patience from Kevin :), they fell in love, and the rest is history.

Through it all, Kevin has shown Megan unwavering consistency, kindness, and support. And Megan has shown Kevin warmth, grace, and the kind of love that feels like home.

They couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you, the people who have been part of their story from the very beginning.
